48' Hallberg Rassy 48

After 7 wonderful years sailing together its time to move on to new adventures. At present we are cruising the South Pacific on board this beautiful HR 48. Owned and well maintained by two Alaskan commercial fisherman she has had many upgrades over the years. A few examples are: A new engine in 2012 from a troublesome electric Volvo to a manual Yanmar 110 hp which has been flowless. A brand-new Northern Lights 5 KW generator with sound box professionally installed in December 2023. A new built in Stellair 16 AC unit. An extra back up independent Auto Pilot and steering all the way to the rudder post. Upgraded ground tackle for Lewmar 3 to Lewmar 5 with 40KG Rocnar anchor. All new batteries March 2023 and Starlink new December 2023.
But perhaps the best thing about this HR 48 is shes in the South Pacific..... where you want to be!!

Standard HR mahogany finish, sofas in saloon, galley to starboard, aft cabin with queen berth to starboard and large single to port.
Backrest in saloon port side lifts for a very generous and comfortable sea berth.
Passage cabin ordered with single berth on a solid lifting mahogany base, convertible to workbench. Storage beneath is generous and sized for boat equipment, tools and spares.
Hanging locker in passage cabin has sliding vegetable baskets. These can be easily removed if desired.
Lee cloths for sea berths in saloon, passage and aft cabins.
Galley with Isotherm fridge. Freezer behind nav station. Both units are top opening 24V and are cooled via heat exchangers (SP system) in the two galley sinks. Freezer has two thermostats and can operate as fridge or freezer. Freezer re gassed 2016.
Galley drawers with dedicated wine glass and tumbler storage.
Three burner Force 10 LPG stove and oven. Two s/s 4.5 Kg gas bottles with POL fittings. Spare LPG connectors and adapters to suit European bottles.
French china crockery. French Tefal stackable pots and pans with removable handles. Electric kettle, Nespresso coffee machine.

Saloon in brown Alcantara, remainder in HR grey cloth. Beige carpet throughout. Beige curtains. Two collapsible teak directors chairs in brown Alcantara.
Four Hella 24V fans, two in saloon, one each in fore and aft cabins. AC outlets in all cabins and at nav station.
Double leaf collapsible saloon table with central wine storage.
Mahogany bookcases added in saloon and aft cabin.
Wemple Regatta barometer, thermometer and clock.
Mareograph recording barometer with spare paper rolls.
Alpenglow red/white lights installed at galley and nav station.
Hella red/white chart light at nav station
Overhead lights in saloon and aft cabin replaced with high quality warm white LEDs from HR
Cantaloupe s/s reading lights throughout
Alpine sound system with two speakers in saloon with iPod connectivity

Machinery

Yanmar 4JH4 HTE 110 HP currently with 2000 hours use. Installed in 2013/14. Manufacturers warranty till March 2016. This engine replaced a very troublesome Volvo Penta D3
Speed seal impeller cover installed 2015.
Aquadrive coupling (overhauled and re-greased 2014).
Gori 3 blade folding prop with overdrive.
Northern Lights 5KW Generator New December 2023
Twin Racor filters for engine. Separate Racor filter for generator. Water sensors fitted.
Two s/s fuel tanks, approx 800 litres.
Fuel polishing system with Racor filter fitted 2014
Algae-X fuel conditioner fitted 2012.
Fresh water tank s/s approx 900 litres.
ENWA watermaker 120 litres per hour. New membranes and end caps fitted 2013. New high pressure CAT pump installed August 2015.
Side Power bow thruster 13 HP 24V installed 2012
Webasto Airtop 3500 diesel heaters. Two units. New combustion chambers 2013.
Candy Aquamatic washing machine 220v. Old unit replaced 2014.
Jabsco manual toilets overhauled 2015.
