The Blackwatch is a stout pocket cruiser with classic lines and a shoal draft. The beamy hull makes the cabin commodious for this size of boat. A perfect blend of trailer-sailer and weekend cruiser. History: This boat was built by Dave Autrys Bluewater Boat Works in Amarillo Texas. 81 of these boats were made and this is number 40. Dave Autry built this boat for himself and added an extra set of stays (4 per side instead of 3) as he intended it for coastal cruising. She has been in my family since the late 90s and has many sailing adventures. In the late 90s my dad trailered the boat to Key West and sailed to Havana Cuba, averaging 5.5 knots in small craft advisory conditions. With a double reefed main and jib, the boat is very stable in winds of 20 knots. From 2017 on she has been sailed on Grapevine Lake in Texas.
