Description: |
Solid 1972 Yankee 28 sailboat. These are very well-regardedand hard-to-findboats that sail beautifully. This one could use some cosmetic work. It is set up for serious sailing with a lot of recent upgrades and needs nothing to sail now.
Rebuilt Atomic 4 gas engine that runs perfectly, with fresh-water cooling, a new electronic ignition system, electric fuel pump, and external thermostat and bronze housing from Indigo marine, all within the last year. Service manual included.
Newer head and holding tank, pressurized fresh water to the head and galley, and a hot water heater, all of which work great.
All new running rigging in the last year, including dyneema halyards, topping lift, and new lifeline stanchions, dyneema lifelines, and most of the deck hardware has been sealed with epoxy and rebedded.
Sails are older but in good shape: loose-footed Quantum main, 5 headsails, including a laminate North Sails 155 genoa, drifter, and a spinnaker in good shape. |
