Macha is a blue water rarity. She is a work of art and is now on the market for a new captain. She is an all electric drive gaff-rigged Ingrid 38' cutter. She is moored at the Port Hadlock Marina, near Port Townsend.

On the title, she is classified as an Ingrid 38, but is even more rare, because she has 6" more freeboard than the Ingrid 38. Her official hull design is the little-known Orca. Her displacement is 28,000 lbs.

Rigged by the extraordinary Brion Toss, she has five sails, including a mainsail, topsail, staysail, forward jib, and top jib. Her sails were customized by Carol Hasse's Port Townsend Sail Company. She comes with a trysail, Genoa, and drifter. Sails & rigging are in excellent shape. Her standing rigging is synthetic (Spectra). She has customized sail covers. Her bulwarks, tiller, and cockpit rails are teak, companionway is mahogany.

She has a manual windlass with continuous 300' of 5/16" Peerless ACCO G43 chain and a 20kg. Bruce anchor on the bow and has two anchor rollers. In an aft anchor roller, there is a 35lb. CQR anchor with 50' of chain and 300' of nylon rode in separate aft anchor locker.

She has a solid fiberglass hull that was surveyed in 2021 and considered in excellent shape. Her bronze forward hatch is by Forestie Suardi. Her winches are also bronze, along with many customizations from Turn Point Designs. She has a new butterfly hatch constructed of Alaskan Yellow Cedar. 1/2" plexiglass weather board as well as wooden drop weather boards.

The 26 HP Electric Yacht QuietTorque 20.0 sail drive is powered by new (2018) LiFePO 4 batteries, meticulously maintained with an Elithion Lithiumate BMS installed by Revision Marine. She is on a 48 Volt system, with 5,500 amp hours storage. She also has a LiFePO 4 house battery, 1000 watt sine wave inverter. She has a new throttle assembly.

Cabin has G8 LED lighting along with five solid brass Weems & Plath Yacht Lamps.
Port holes open & have screens.

Equipment:
Her electronics, new from 2021 include a new Garmin 943xsv MFD on a Ram Mount that can be seen easily from the cockpit. (MFD shows depth, has remote functionality, anchor alarm, Blue charts, GPS, depth, SOG, etc.), new B&G V-60 VHF with AIS transmit and receive and DSC and new antennas, and N2K backbone. She has a new transducer, 50/200KHZ Br TH Tri Long Stem Xdcr. All running lights are in working order. The onboard diagnostics for the Elithion batteries are controlled through a touch-screen Windows tablet, and display comprehensive details about cell health, how many times the batteries have cycled, etc. Outback charge controller. Plug and play flexible solar panels are included (though not installed).

She has an 11'6" Zodiac with an inflatable floor with a Honda 8 HP outboard.

She has a Monitor wind vane self steering on the stern.

There are three 50 gallon internal stainless steel fresh water storage tanks. She has a 50 gallon diesel tank (for the diesel heater). All thru-hulls are functional and tested monthly. There are three manual bilge pumps, one of which is for the anchor locker.

There is a working Dickinson Antarctic diesel heater keeps the boat warm and has a day tank. There is a hot-water heat exchanger that is connected to the Dickinson, currently not in service. Galley has a working, but currently disconnected, gimbled Shipmate kerosene 2 burner stove with oven, great for baking pies and pizza at sea. The burners are new in 2019.

Down below, her interior is spacious, with enough space for someone 6'5" to stand comfortably. The forward berth is set up as a main sleeping area, with four other bunks with extensions for sleeping. The settee folds down between the bunks for dining. The galley features fresh water from a foot pump. The stereo system is robust and acoustically impressive, with woofers and tweeters for your listening pleasure. The "engine" room is spacious and has a port quarter for storage. The galley storage is deep and ample. There is an onboard Coleman DC cooler, and ready for an installation of refrigeration of your dreams. She has a new Jabsco head with a 25 gallon holding tank. There is no shower, but a bucket and a solar shower are provided for your outdoor bathing pleasure.
