Featured picture: SV Conchflyer isolated in Abraham's Bay, Mayaguana June 2020
Delivery negotiable to Eastern US/Caribbean.
A solid, sailable, sustainable, go-anywhere, live-aboard, currently-sailing project boat: I've had the Conchflyer for 8 years, cruising and living aboard most of the time, and it has been the best time of my life. Since March, Covid has upended my life, but my boat gave me stability and allowed me to weather the storm, allowing me to make my way from Grenada to Florida stopping at many islands named after Saints. Now I'm chasing a new job and moving to Hawaii, and after much thought have decided to put her on the market rather than sail her to the Pacific. Time constraints, canal transit and covid restrictions helped me make this call. Ill borrow a phrase from the guy who sold me the boat: This boat has been around the world three times, and it will take you around again. It will also let you live the lifestyle you see on youtube sailing channels. If covid has upended your life, and you would like to try disconnecting from land, I could recommend this as a cheap live-aboard that rides well at anchor. Ive been there. I would provide you with a complete description of equipment and how to use it. Of course, I will also give you a run-down of the good, the bad, and the ugly. I can give you many tips on how to sail her since Ive logged around 10,000 NM aboard her, but ultimately like the Pardeys say, If you want to be a sailor, you have to go to sea. So go, untie the lines, and leave the shore behind.
Contact me for a full description of the good, the bad, and the ugly, as well as a link to more pictures. |
