Description: |
This boat was designed by Hartley, an old recognized design house in England. It is constructed in the ferro-cement method and comes with a Lloyd's Builders certificate. This means that all stages of the construction were inspected and certified. It is quite possible that this Ferro-cement boat is the only one you will find with such sterling documentation. It was built by a Scottish veterinarian surgeon who sailed her quite extensively in his retirement - Med, trans-Atlantic, Caribbean, etc. This is a very robust world class cruiser with an extensive amount of deck space (flush deck with a wheelhouse) as well as down below. Interior head room is 6'5" . She carries 200 gallons of water in (4) 50 gallon military grade double lined bladder tanks. She carries 200 gallons of fuel in (4) 50 gallon stainless steel tanks, all of which have been cleaned and are empty of fuel. She has a range of 1500 miles at least, under power. The interior was disassembled down below allowing access to the hull which was coated with Amerlock 400 epoxy. The cabinetry was removed and refinished. The engine was meticulously cleaned and painted. She has (3) Pro-furls. Two for wing & wing sailing and one for the cutter rig. She has a 100hp Volvo 4 cyl Diesel engine (TMD31B) with low hours. The mast is a Kemp double spreader (air foil spreaders) rig with mast steps. The boat has radar, single sideband VHF, auto pilot, GPS, hydraulic steering (Wagoner pump & ram built in Canada). This boat was hauled 22 months ago and completely gone over. Her hull was sanded and coated with Amerloc 400 epoxy from the waterline down. The through hulls were re-bedded and some replaced. The cutlass bearing was replaced and a new stainless rudder shoe fitted. The boat has a Maxwell 2500 VWC anchor windlass with 300 ft of 3/8" chain in excellent condition. It has a stainless steel bow roller for the plow anchor. This boat must be seen to be appreciated Call for more Information (No texting) 954-467-1229 Thom |
