50' Hedley Nicol Voyager

Free Spirit is a custom build Hedley Nicol trimaran of the Voyager design, a proven blue-water cruiser and a spacious,
and comfortable liveaboard. She is well maintained, fully equipped, and charter ready for 6 or 12 PAX.
On deck she will comfortably accommodate 38 guests. Her cruising accommodation is 13, including a double V-berth
forward w/ private head, vanity, hot shower, and ample stowage, 4 spacious double berths (curtained) on the wing
decks with ample stowage, a second head & vanity area in Stbd. Float (Ama), and a 3 rd vanity area in the Port
Ama. The large main saloon provides dining for 6 at the teak double-leaf table, or converts to sleep an additional
3 in single berths. She has a full 6 6 headroom throughout and is well ventilated by overhead Lewmar hatches
and 10 opening bronze ports.
The large open-counter galley has a Force 10 - 3 burner oven/range, Isotherm refer/frzr, and generous stowage for food
and supplies. She carries 125 gal. potable water. The aft cabin serves as a functioning, fully tooled workshop,
adjacent to the battery bank, fuel, and a roomy engine room.

She is powered by a Perkins 4-236, 4 cyl., 85hp, Diesel (well-maintained and many spare parts). Her reduction
and reverse gear is a Borg-Warner, 2-1 Ratio, hydraulic (rebuildt 3/2019). She sports a 3-blade Classic, 70mm,
Sea Shield Max Prop with a recently renew PSS Dripless Shaft Seal and Cutlass Bearing (Duramax Marine Bird,
1 1/4 X 1 3/4 X 5). Speed under power is 8 knots (at current Max Prop pitch) Her sails consist of, Main: 337
sq.ft. (Good), 2 reef pts., stack-pack, Jib: 345 sq.ft. (Vry Gd) on a Harken Roller Furling, Mizzen: 173 sq. ft.
(Good), 2 reef pts., stack-pack. Ground tackle consists of 4 anchors, chain primary rode, and a Lewmar Pro-Fish
1000, Free-Fall Windlass w/ Helm Station & Wireless Remote controls.
Displacement is 22,426 lbs. The hull is Cold Molded (fiberglass over wood), double diagonal w/ horizontal
sandwich on the main hull and double diagonal on the Floats (Amas). She has a new Hydrodynamic main keel
designed by Antrim Associate and a redesigned Spade Rudder to improve pointing, maneuverability, and reduce
leeway. She was last painted with AWLGRIP Matterhorn White in 2017 (good condition). Steerage is achieved
by a teak helm, chain and cable to quadrant, and Raymarine Type 1 linear drive Auto Pilot. Over the years, all
hulls have been professionally rebuilt, stem to stern, from keelson to 3 above the waterline.
She has a 12 Volt system charged by the engine alternator, 2 ea. Natural Power 165 W Rigid Monocrystalline
Solar Panels, and 2ea. 400 W, Air-X wind Turbines. Batteries include 4 ea. G/Y, DC31 Marine 180 (house), 1
ea. RC 875 MCA (Cranking), and 1 ea. Deep Cycle Gel forward for the Windlass. A 300 W inverter provides
ample power for the 110 V demand.
On deck, her 24 cushioned cockpit seating has sun protection from its 13 6 x 8 10 hard-top Bimini, w/ fresh-water
catchment. The custom teak Helm Station displays her recently renewed state-of-the-art instrumentation,
including engine gauges, Multi-Function Display w/ GPS Plotter, Radar, Auto Pilot, Depth, Wind, Speed, a Standard
Horizon GX1600 VHF, Class D DSC w/ Ram 3, Windlass w/ remote, and 406 EPIRB. She is equipped with Davits,
two dinghies (a hard shell and inflatable, and motors for each.
She cruised the west coast, Caribbean, and French Polynesia prior to coming to Hawaii. My wife and I have owned and
sailed her throughout the Islands, both commercially and privately, since 1992. Ready to go. delivery to the West Coast.
