Inside, the center cockpit enables the Whitby 42 to have a generous aft stateroom with an en-suite head. A walkway that provides access to the engine room and has a handy workbench provides access between the aft stateroom and the main salon.

In the salon, there is a u-shaped galley with a large refrigerator/freezer that holds supplies for an extended cruise. Just forward of the galley is an L-shaped settee dinette that is opposite a settee on the starboard side making it comfortable for living aboard and long-distance cruising.
