12 VOLT SYSTEM:
The 12 volt system was rewired using code size and type wire 2003.
There is a Kyocera solar panel mounted atop the davits. It is a 21.9 volt 8.2 amp panel. This solar panel is wired to a smart charger that controls the rate of charge. This smart charger is wired through the battery switch that controls which battery bank the panel will charge. There are two battery banks, one for house power and one for the starting battery. This battery charging system has an ON/OFF switch.
Battery bank #1 is the starting battery bank. It is a #29DC Everstart 12 volt one year old.
Battery bank #2 is the house power bank. It is a #29DC Everstart 12 v0lt one year old. There are eight 12 volt house lights. Four are Apenglow florescent.
12 volt fresh water pump. 40 gallon fresh water tank located under the V berth.
12 volt Macerator pump located under the head sink. This is connected to a 10 gallon holding tank. The system is controlled with a proper three way valve. The outflow can be via a brass ball through hull fitting or through a suction located on the deck. The whole system is legal.

AM/FM radio with 4 speakers.
Two vhf radios. One located in the salon. The second one located in the aft lazarette.
Two spotlights located on the davit mounts are separately controlled.
Running lights at deck level and a tri color light atop the mast.
Anchor light is located in this tri color light.
Steaming light.
A Rule 1500 12 volt bilge pump controlled by a float switch.
Garmin GPS 170.

ENGINE---- 42 HP Westerbeke diesel with 1854 hours.
Hurst transmission.
Full engine gauges and alarms.
Cutlass bearing replaced 2015.
Two blade prop.
Cruising speed on flat water is 6 knots.
Engine burns gallons per hour.
35 gallon Monel fuel tank.
New raw water pump and fresh water pump 2017.

RUNNING RIGGING:
Two Lumar 50 two speed self tailing winches with sun shield hoods.
Two Barrent 28 standard two speed winches with sun shield hoods.
Schaeffer 2100 roller furling unit. Main bearing replaced in 2016.
The main and jib halyards are stainless wire with dacron tails.
Main halyard winch and the jib halyard winch are mounted on the mast.
Main halyard sheets are all low stretch line replaced 2016.
Two winch handles fit all winches.
Blocks for each sheet.
Ritchie binnacle compass with hood.
Second cockpit compass.
Traveler located on aft laze
rette with Lumar rollers and bearings.

STANDING RIGGING: All the lower standing rigging was replaced 2015.
Back stay wheel adjuster.

GROUND TACKLE: 35 Pound CQR with 35 feet of 5/8 chain and 150 feet of 5/8 line mounted through a bow opening.
15 pound Fortress with 15 feet of chain and 100 feet of 5/8 line mounted on the bow rail.

OTHER EQUIPMENT
14 Type 2 lifejackets and one throwable lifesling horseshoe type 4.
Four Type ABC fire extinguishers mounted.
Sea Frost refrigeration unit engine driven.
Six Hood, screened opening ports installed 1998.
Full screens for all hatches and companionway.
Three burner Fore 10 stove with oven and broiler.
Wall mounted Force 10 wall mounted propane heater.

Both stove and heater are connected to an 8 pound tank located in the helmsman seat and properly vented. Two tanks are available the second tank can be strapped to the aft cockpit rail. Second tank has a sun cove

EXTRA: Evening Star is an excellent cruising vessel. Between 1998 and this year I have made seven ocean passages between Norfolk VA and Fire Island Inlet, Long Island, NY three with my family and four with men friends. I have taken Evening Star around Long Island with stops along the way. In 2002-2004 I took a trip south around Key West to Dunedin FL and lived on the boat for the entire eleven months I was away. Several legs of this trip down and back were ocean passages.

Evening Star races well also. The PHRF is 177. I have won a 4th place in 2012 in the Cock Island Race and I know I won a 3rd, and a 1st in the cruising fleets but dont know what years I won these awards.
I raced in the Cape Charles Cup also. In 2010 2nd place, 2011 4th place , 2015 5th place, 2016 3rd place, 2017 1st place. In the 2017 win Evening Star finished 3rd out of all 46 boats entered in the cruising fleets.
