42' Alpha One Composites Aeroyacht Alpha 42

We are very excited that the Alpha 42 catamaran offered is making a full circle back to our Aeroyacht offices in NY. She is offered for sale and located at her owners dock, close to Long Island NY. Serious offers are considered.

Back in 2012 our office was commissioned to design the worlds coolest 42′ cruising catamaran. A boat that looked good, was well thought out and safe to sail around the world by an owner couple. 5 Alpha 42s were built in a very limited production of which Lucie 2 is the second boat manufactured by Alpha One Composites of Long Island, NY.

Lucie 2 is owned by an experienced sailor, who has owned several large catamarans and he has equipped her for coastal and offshore cruising. She is a unique 4 cabin layout. Unlike the mass produced balsa cored polyester multihulls, this Alpha 42 is built in strong Vynilester-Nydacore foam. Stiffer, lighter and no chance for osmosis ! Airconditioner, generator, inverter, a full set of navionics and many other options to make life easy onboard. Lucie 2 has the cool looking-trademark inverted bows which reduce weight and extend her waterline for swift passages. She looks great standing still as well! Her ultra large galley and 2 refrigerators and 2 freezers will delight the family chef as well.

The galley comes fully equipped including cutlery, cooking pots, plates, glasses etc.
Deck & EquipmentVinylester and strong ISO resins with Nidacore core are used for the Hulls above the waterline as well as throughout the boat are all hand layups. Nidacore bulkheads to provide insulation, rigidity and light weight. Monolithic (solid laminate) bilges for strength, resistance to impacts, perforations, and beaching. Reinforced, solid-monolithic hull underneath waterline and keel shoe housing performance foil. All bulkheads are manually laminated to the hull to provide maximum structural rigidity. Rudders in Vinylester laminates are foam filled.
