Description: |
Selling my 1983 Slipper 17’. This has been my weekender for the past few years. Mostly sailed her around West Palm Beach, and trailered her down to the keys several times. She is a very solid boat with a high freeboard and has worked well inshore as well as offshore. Very large cockpit that can easily fit four adults, or more, if you’re not pulling job sheets. She was in fair condition when I got her and I’ve rehabbed her over the past couple years, and added some new equipment. I laid another 3 sheets of fiberglass in the entire cockpit for added strength. She has 2 quarter births with cushions down below. Boat and trailer titles are both current and in my name. I’m selling her as I’ve got my eye on a larger boat. Please call or text for more info or photos |
Equipment: |
This boat is complete with all necessary parts and pieces. Jib and main sails- older but totally functional. Cabin cushions with brand new upholstery. I added a bilge pump, which works perfectly. Running lights work great. New main shrouds and forestay in 2017. The intermediate shrouds are original. New halyards in 2017. New motor mount with 4 positions, will accept a long or short shaft up to 10hp. Swing daggerboard works perfectly. 12v deep cycle battery works great. Weatherproof hatch covers. 1995 trailer with brand new axle, springs, and bearings. Wheels work fine with a little surface rust. I have no reservations about towing this down the highway. 2” ball. Swim ladder. 2 fishing rod holders. Large Bimini top. |
