Description: |
1982 Herreshoff Cat-Ketch 31 - "Doris"
For full description, please refere to the text I converted to Images, due to the maximum amount of words permitted in this ad.
BOAT - DATA: The boat is 30'6" at the overall, 27'8" at the waterline, and has a draft of 4'6".The engine is an 18-horse Yanmar diesel, new in 1998. It is extremely reliable and cheap to operate. The engine was recently serviced and given a clean bill of health.
LOCATION: The boat is drydocked in a hurricane safe boat yard (Glades Boat Storage) in the Ft. Myers greater area and I am currently in Austria (I am Austrian). You can see Doris from Mon. to Fri. at the boat yard with prior notice to me and the boatyard. |
Equipment: |
Electrics & Electronics:
Forward looking sonar: Echopilot Silver (Transducer and Display Unit newly installed in 2011)
AUTOPILOT: Autohelm 2000 works great, however I preferred to leash the tiller with bungee cords or use the sails for helming (she keeps on sailing close hauled forever, without even touching the tiller).
VHF antenna (on mizzen mast top) has just got a new cable in 2012 (RG 213 standard) the VHF device itself was given away to a friend: I recommend a new model with integrated AIS Receiver/Display

Wind speed: Signet Marine (cups replaced in 2011 but needs new display)
