25' Kirby Kirby 25

Up for sale is Kirby 25 hull number 38. Kirby 25's are well regarded racing boats designed by Bruce Kirby, who also designed the laser series along with the 12 meter Canada One. The Kirby 25 is well known for its sporty ability while still maintaining the comfort of a crusing boat.

This boat comes set up for both racing and weekend crusing and has done well in both for many years. On the racing side the boat has a full array of sails including a complete set racing sails and many practice and crusing sails as well. The boat has had lots of work done to it in the last few years and is now a very clean and ready to sail boat. Only two years ago the bottom was sanded down to gelcoat and the keel hull joint was re-faired before it was sealed with epoxy barrier coat and painted. The interior and electrical systems have all been updated and the boat comes with both an AM/FM radio and a VHF radio with mast mounted antenna. The mast and standing rigging are in very good condition as well as the running rigging and sheets. The boat includes a 5 horse power mercury outboard with low hours, it is both dependable and fuel efficient as it typically only burns a few tanks a season. The boat is currently sitting on its dual axle six post trailer that is included with the boat and is just waiting on a coat of bottom paint and launching to be ready to go sailing.
