The iconic CAL 35 Cruise, designed by Bill Lapworth is roomy and comfortable. Five people can be as alone as they want. The forward cabin is totally separated from the main salon and a large oil-skin locker isolates the quarter berth.
The luxurious main salon sleeps two with its spacious and comfortable convertible dinette layout. It features nine large windows for magnificent visibility in all directions. The galley is complete with a 75 lb ice chest, sink and SS lined compartment for range and stove plus lots of stowage. The interior is done in Burmese teak. The chart table is a full nav station with cabinetry for electronics and instrumentation. There is a built in shower and pressure water.
The long water line, sleek hull lines and large 546 square feet of sail area give her the great speed. And she is yarly (easy to handle) with a big spade rudder and wheel steering. The shoal draft is perfect for gunkholing the Bahamas or the Keys. The easily accessible Perkins Diesel moves you along at 7 1/2 knots.
This vessel is undergoing a refit and is priced accordingly. A sound hull and deck with internal lead ballast (5000 lbs), she needs an owner looking for a well built roomy and airy cruising boat for little money. The hull is aubergine in color in excellent condition without damage or scratches.
