Ready to show. Fast J 24 The boat was owned by the president of Tartan saiboats. It is in nice condition. The J-24 has a non-skid deck for better traction, less wood for easier maintenance (J-24 sailors prefer to sail), moulded V-berth air tank for greater safety, precise keel placement, the latest deck layout for optimum sailing efficiency, and a one-piece hull mould, and faired blades, to reduce race preparation time. J-24 stands the test of time. A well-prepared 1977 model, built to the same shape and weight with rigid, Baltek-cored construction, can still win the worlds, even after 30,000 miles of trailering. J-24 is for everyone, age 12 to 80, no matter what their style: racing, daysailing, or cruising. Her flared topsides make her dry on deck. Her "weekender" cabin makes it possible to get warm on cold days, and she can be sailed easily by one person with only the mainsail if you ad a roller furling. We have a sister ship with a roller furling. You might enjoy owning both for a family race (father, son; brother, sister; husband, wife; race) Two sailboats to race might bring back the excitement to the lakehouse. The international J-24 is the only offshore one-design sanctioned for world competition |
