A 23-foot Menger Cat is a recreational, fiberglass-built sailboat featuring a gaff rig catboat design with a distinctive plumb stem, angled transom, and a retractable centerboard, allowing it to operate in shallow waters; known for its stability and ease of handling, has a small cabin with sleeping accommodations for a few people, a small galley, and is powered by a small diesel engine for maneuvering in tight spaces; with the centerboard down, it has a draft of around 5.5 feet, but can be easily trailered with the board retracted to a shallower draft of 2.5 feet. |

The design has sleeping accommodation for three people, with a double "V"-berth in the bow and a straight settee on the port side of the main cabin. The galley is located on the starboard side, amidships. The galley is equipped with a sink. The enclosed head is located just aft of the galley on the starboard side. Cabin headroom is 72 in (183 cm) |
