Thinking of a circumnavigation, ocean passage or just local sailing, Omuramba 3 deserves to be looked at. She was custom built in Ontario, Canada in 1998, by Scorpio Custom Yachts, an offshoot of Gozzards to a Rob Ladd design. 53 LOA, 15-7 Beam, 7-3 Draught Divinycell foam core. Here the hull below the waterline was soda blasted to remove the old bottom paint and gel coat. She then received six coats of Interlux 2000. The mast, boom and radar pole were stripped down to the aluminum , then painted with Awlgrip white. The cabin was also painted. Before re-stepping , all the mast wiring was replaced as well as all the lights on the mast. These included new LED spreader lights, masthead LED tricolour and steaming light. In addition, all standing rigging, including turnbuckles, was replaced, along with all the mast and boom sheaves, plus a new mainsail halyard. Accommodations: 2 master staterooms, each with head. Aft head with electric toilet and large walkin shower. Safe workable galley with double sinks, 3 burner Force 10 stove, freezer, fridge, microwave and ample food storage.
