Description: |
The sale price is 89,000 USD. We are willing to negotiate a slightly lower price for a quick sale, as we need the slip for our new to us boat.
We have owned our 42 MK1 Catalina for a just over a year, and have decided to down size as 3 staterooms is too spacious for us. She is currently in the water at Skyline Marina in Anacortes. We were looking at Hunters, Passports, (really any bob perry design), and various 40 sailboats. Since we have owed her, we have gone on numerous cruises, spending almost all of July 2023 between the San Juan Islands, and Canada. We lived aboard winter of 23/24 at Skyline Marina, and pushed off on the occasional winter sail. With the Espar Diesel heater, we were always warm and dry. With 2 heads, we were able to dedicate one to our wet gear on those truly adventurous days! We have been extremely impressed with the sailing capabilities on this Catalina. We were even bold enough to jump in on some races. You can expect a little extra push in light winds under main alone.
This is the pullman berth; 3 stateroom, 2 head configuration. You wont find this kind of head room and living space on many 42 sailboats. While we kept one birth for guest, the second made a great Storage room / Garage. Additional lazarette space made it easy to hide everything aboard for the occasional use of all 3 staterooms. Did I mention there is an Island in the galley!? Truly the perfect spot to keep an ice maker for cocktail hour. Whether you are living aboard, or weekend cruising, youll be amazed at all the storage in the spacious galley. Wooden wall hangers for plates and cups truly give you a classic feel in this modern sail boat.
We have a binder with schematics for electrical, plumbing, and general layout. As well systems manuals, Catalina owners manuals, and past owner notes. LOA: 42 167gal fresh water 49gal black water total (2 tanks) 40gal diesel
