Description: |
Difficulty of project 4/10.
The engine, a Yanmar 8hp one-banger, turns over fine and has compression but isn't pumping fuel, which I'm working on.
An owner's comment:
"I owned and lived aboard a PS 25 for a few years. She was an excellent vessel. I single handed, spent a week or more at a time out on her. I didn't have autopilot just balanced the sails. She sailed like a dream, period. She loved 7-13 knots and was darn plucky in 30. She was nice and stiff in an increasing blow and light on her toes in soft breeze. I recommend you sail one, she will absolutely surprise you. Source: search on "sailnet com threads pacific seacraft 25.100060"
Equipment: The 150% genoa looks nearly new. The staysail looks fine. The storm jib looks new. The mainsail is useable but strictly average; it lays flat (it should have darts and not lay flat) and has short battens (it really should have longer battens for cruising) and has only one set of reef points. |

Call me, then I'll answer questions and take pictures/video of anything you're curious about.
Project boat, project price. Everything that's important (structure, redwood cabin, etc.is solid. Needs some new deck hardware and lines (orig. from 76). Beautiful lines and engineering. Shroud overkill, built like a brick shithouse. Bliue water ship. |
