" Lai Holokai" is a fast-passage maker with a comfortable sea-kindly motion. Considered to be the little sister of the legendary Cal 40, she is stiff and has an easily driven hull form that performs extremely well on all points of sail. She has a good turn of speed and yet is very forgiving. Running downwind, she doesnt have the same squirrelly tendencies of many IOR-era and wide-beam cruising boats . All in all, she is a pleasure to sail and is confident and sure-footed in rough weather and can be easily steered by autopilot in following seas.
