Description: |
SPLIT ENZ is a USCG Documented 32' PDQ sailing catamaran LRC (Long Range Cruising) model. She was built with quality materials in Whitby, Ontario and her quality shows in her performance. "The PDQ 32 was kept lightweight- 7,200-pound displacement-through efficient design and the smart use of triaxial cloth, acrylic modified epoxy resin (AME 5000), Klegecell core, and even carbon fiber (in the main beam)." -Practical Sailor article
Twin 18 horse yanmars with 3 blade props push her at 6.5 to 7 knots cruising speed.
She is fitted with 2 brand new Mack Sails; full batten Main and roller furling Genoa. Also included is a self tacking jib and spinnaker.
She is self sustainable with minimalism in mind including solar and rain catchment.
We just returned from a month and a half cruising to the Bahamas and back from St. Augustine and she performed wonderfully.
The factory wiring for the vessel boasts professionalism, with proper ABYC standards and organization in the distribution panel and throughout.
Her battery system has just been upgraded with new cables, switches, fuses and Automatic Charging Relay for peace of mind.
We love this boat like no other. It is very hard to find PDQ 32s on the market because of their excellent reputation. Researching and comparing these boats to other small cruising catamarans will convince you why they are so sought after and loved.
Selling due to sudden life changes, otherwise we would sail right back to the islands.
With a little maintenance and personal upgrades, you could sail right back to the bahamas!
Would love to pass this boat on to someone who can appreciate and treasure her as much as we did.
