1970 Bristol 24 Sailboat built by Seastar in Bristol RI. Powered with a 6hp 2016 Tohatsu, with low hours that is in motor well at the transom and was serviced this season. In overall the boat is in good shape and is in the water on Mount Desert Island, Maine, being sailed weekly. I recently just spent 4 days sailing her around Deere Isle! This is a fantastic boat for day sailing and weekending with plenty of bunk space, a working head, ice box, and sink (has water tank that is plumbed but needs to have a new faucet). The headsail is on a harken line furler that leads back to the cockpit. For its age its a great looking boat that I have put a decent amount of work into, but is obviously not perfect. Over the years I have rebeded a lot of hardware, done fiberglass work to the reinforce and standing rigging attachments, and kept up with exterior wood trim varnish work. She could use more interior trim work depending on how fussy you are, some revamped cushions, and a new set of sails, that would really get her sailing nicely. Every now and then I find myself chasing a deck leak, but otherwise she is a surprisingly dry boat. Happy to answer any questions! Hope she can find a good new home! Reason for selling, is on to the next one! |
