This boat was recently hauled, repaired, and surveyed. The survey value is $53,500.00. Over $11,000.00 was spent during the haul out.During the haul out the seams were re-caulked. Wood replaced as needed. 10 gallons of non ablative painted were added to the bottom. All the standing rigging was replaced as required by the surveyor. I'm asking $48,000.00 and this boat is ready to go for years to come.
Avalon is a well maintained 1975 double-ended sailboat that is ready for travel, live aboard, or to be used for business as a charter vessel. The boat is 64 feet long and fifteen feet wide with a five foot draft with its full keel with 2 thick mahogany planks over 5 x 5 ribs. It has 6' 6 headroom throughout with many large opening ports in each cabin. The steering station is behind the aft cabin that has a captains chair and seating on each side. There is also a large center cockpit that can be set up with a large table. The cockpit has a front companionway that leads down to the main cabin in front and another companionway in the rear that leads to the aft cabin. There is a wide walk around deck on each side with tall gunnels that give the boat a secure feelings in any sea. From the center cockpit you can go down into the main cabin where the galley is to port with a three burner propane stove and sink. It has a large food pantry. Opposite the galley is a navigation station to starboard and a large refrigerated ice box on the to starboard side as well. Just forward is the main salon with a dinette to starboard and a large settee to port. There is a private cabin forward with the head to starboard and a large sink and large cabinet to port. There is a passageway that links the main and aft cabins. The aft cabin has a queen size center line berth. It has a large combination head and shower to starboard with a large sink and cabinet on the port side. The is plenty storage and cabinetry through the boat. The boat comes with a RIB inflatable dinghy. |

The boat has had many mechanical and electrical upgrades over the years. The auxiliary is a 4-236 Perkins diesel in excellent working condition. It has a automatic Haylon fire extinguisher in the engine room. It carries 300 gallons of diesel stainless steel tanks. The tanks were recently removed inspected, cleaned and reinstalled. The boat carries 100 gallons of water in plastic tanks. It has a VHS radio in the main cabin and one at the helm station. It also has a new handheld VHS. It has a Raymarine chartplotter as well as a Raymarine depth finder. It has a new EPIRP that is registered to the boat. The boat has up to date safety equipment and flare, etc. There is an emergency tiller. Forward is a bow pulpit with a large 12 volt Ideal electric windless. The windless has been recently serviced. It has a large anchor with 100 foot of chain and a 150 foot nylon rode. There is also a grapple anchor for very rocky bottom aboard the boat. The boat has an anchor snubber. The survey is available to those viewing the boat.
