Description: |
S/V Paloma is a Dehler Optima 101 perfect for cruising adventures in the northeast and mid-Atlantic. This racer-cruiser sports a double-reefed main sail and jib (jib serviced 2021) and responds well to both light wind and more significant sea conditions. The sail stackpack (new 2022) makes raising and stowing the mainsail easy. Amenities such as AC/heat, iPad-compatible chart plotter/AIS, autopilot (autotiller), and new upholstery make sailing comfortable.
The Dehler 34 was one of the companys most successful builds due to the balance of sail performance and cruising comforts, with 1,300 hulls launched. Its reverse-cycle AC & heat, along with a diesel heater for heat underway, provide for a comfortable cabin. The galley supports basic cooking on the three-burner propane stove & oven, alongside a 12V refrigerator and sink. New (2021) cabin upholstery in bright white is easy to clean, and 2-4 can easily sleep in the cabin and aft queen berth. A fore v-berth is currently used for storage but could be converted into a second berth.
We have enjoyed reliable sailing with this vessel from Annapolis all the way to mid-coast Maine (and countless stops between) but are parting ways as we look to accommodate more crew members. |
