Description: |
Custom built 45 Bruce Roberts offshore ketch. Extremely well constructed. Built by a man in Australia in 1979 who then sailed in it with his own family for 25 years.
Thick fiberglass construction. Through deck chainplates that are fully visible for inspection inside the boat.
The motor is a 1979 Detroit Diesel 353. Its in pretty good shape and will last for many years to come with proper love and maintenance. The motor is extremely reliable.
Batteries are 1 year old: 4x110ah AGM batteries for the house and 2x41 lead acid batteries for the starter and windlass. 4x190w solar panels run to a 60a charge controller. Wind generator run to a second 60a charger.
Updated with shore power - 30a 120v cable and adapter for a 15a plug (generator). Magnum 2800w invertor.
Added a water maker 18gph between 200-300ppm. Have extra filters.
Stateroom in stern and a single berth port. Sleeps 6 inside. 2 more under the hard dodger. New cushions for cockpit. Hard dodger is very comfortable in terrifying weather!
Good antenna and auto tuner. UHF/VHF radio and an iCom SSB radio.
Radar, GPS, and AIS. I have new instruments that I will install next time I lift the boat out of the water: nanometer, new depth and speed, water temp.
Steering cables look great. I check often.
1 head with hand pump toilet and foot pump sink/shower. 10 gallon tank fresh water. 5 gallon grey water. No black water storage.
Water storage 80 gallons. Diesel storage is 2x75 gallon (150).
8hp Yamaha outboard and 15hp tohatsu outboard. 12ft dinghy in disrepair; been trying to replace
Fridge, Freezer.
No hull damage.
Auto-pilot and Wind Pilot.
The boat is a very strong, offshore Bluewater kind of a boat. It would only require a small effort to make it ready to sail across the Pacific Ocean. |
