Description: |
Sunshine is a 27 foot Albin Vega built in 1972. It's a solid blue water boat for it's size, other Vegas have been known to circumnavigate the globe. This boat is 27 feet long overall, has an 8 foot beam, and draws a shallow draft of 3.67 feet. While shallow, the 3/4 length keel is fully encapsulated for a stable and sturdy ride. Sunshine has seen some wear and tear in the upholstery and bimini cover, but the thru hulls, engine, and bilge pumps all work. The rigging is in good condition overall, with some lines starting to show their age. The foresail is a large jib on a roller furler and can be easily deployed by a single handed sailor. The main sail has two reefs for those days when the wind really kicks up. It has a large danforth style anchor that weighs around 25 pounds with 10 feet of chain and 200 feet of anchor rode so you can rest well when at anchor. The engine is a Yanmar 1GM10 that was serviced most recently in 2018. It's a reliable single cylinder diesel engine that puts out 9hp for a cruising speed of 5 knots. I do not know how many hours are on the engine but it has been well taken care of. |
