First owned by Steele Griswold - former owner of Shelburne Shipyard - Mame is a classic Sparkman & Stephens custom Tartan-41. The hull and deck were ordered unfinished from Tartan Marine and delivered to the Shelburne Shipyard where the interior and teak toe rail were installed to Mr. Griswolds specifications.
The Tartan 41 was designed by S&S at the request of Charlie Britton, founder of Tartan Marine, Co., who was eager to produce a boat to compete with the new Nautor Swans. Both were designed by S&S and are almost identical versions of the famous racing sloop Morning Cloud commissioned by Sir Edward Heath.
Midway through her racing career Steel Griswold, an engineer by training, hired S&S to oversee the modification of the hull and rudder. The original skeg and rudder were removed, and a new spade rudder was installed about a foot further aft. The underbody and keel were completely faired with a finer entry forward. The mast is a custom tall rig double spreader with Navtec rod rigging and hydraulics.
The boat was repowered, and a teak cockpit installed by the second owner complete with Harken electric winches and Raymarine electronics as well as Harken roller furling, windlass, and anchor bow roller.
Mame has always been stored and professionally maintained to the highest standard by the Shelburne Shipyard. She is now located at the Shennecosset Yacht Club, Groton, CT. Located in Shennecossett Yacht Club 1010 Shennecossett Rd Groton CT 06340Groton,

Beautifully maintained Bruce King-designed Ericson 36C. Although always in fresh water, this is a serious sailor's boat...super heavy construction designed for safe and comfortable blue water sailing.
Only three owners since new. Ready to sail today with extensive upgrades, including a new mainsail, and new galley. In addition, the boat comes with an autopilot and a dependable Westerbeke/Bukh diesel engine. She is in outstanding cosmetic and mechanical condition for her age.
Buccaneer is a distinctive cutter-rigged cruiser designed by renowned naval architect Bruce King. Built as Ericson's Bicentennial flagship, she is one of only about 65 ever produced, a rare opportunity to own arguably the finest yacht Ericson ever built. She represents the uncommon combination of classic beauty, exceptional sailing performance, and meticulous long-term ownership.
Although the hull is fiberglass, the yacht has the warmth and character of a traditional wooden boat. Exterior trim is teak, while the cabin features beautifully crafted, hand-laid mahogany throughout. The wide, uncluttered deck provides excellent space for entertaining and moving about safely. The spacious cockpit, enhanced by a Bimini top and newer cushions, offers the comfort and seating capacity normally found on much larger yachts.
Built to offshore standards, Buccaneer displaces over 19,000 pounds and was designed for safe, comfortable long-distance travel in a wide range of conditions. For the past 18 years, she has been carefully maintained by a USCG-licensed captain and ASA Certified Sailing Instructor who is now transitioning to a cruising trawler. Located in Chicago,
Illinois.

1982 Island Trader 38 for sale - $5,000 OBO (but I cannot close until I purchase another boat). LOA 42'. THERE IS NO MAIN MAST. Location: Ithaca, NY on Lake Cayuga which is connected by Erie Canal System to Hudson River and Atlantic Ocean, and to Great Lakes. Yanmar 3gm30f diesel engine rebuilt in 2019 with low hours. Gets 6-7 mpg with clean hull. In 2022, I removed the teak from the lower deck and re-cored it with epoxy-coated marine plywood, and then covered the original fiberglass deck with two layers of biaxial fiberglass cloth. I re-cored half of top deck in 2018. NO MAIN MAST, but I have the stays and hardware. I have the original, wooden mizzen mast which is rotten in one area but could be repaired with fiberglass and painted. Two, painted wooden booms. Custom interior with removable Oak table and more room to walk than standard interior, teak ceiling, and red oak wall boards and floor boards. I recently changed both fuel filters, oil filter and oil. Charming, hand-painted folk-art mural on one wall of main cabin. Top of opposite wall is FRP which needs to be redone. Bronze window frames. I replaced all the window glass in 2020. (They are taped-over for privacy.) The countertops are teak with mahogany borders. I installed new flexible PVC tubing for stainless-steel holding tank, but I think there is a crack in the holding tank. Two jibs and mizzen sail are good, main is fair. Old, but functional refrigerator and microwave. Pump toilet replaced in 2023. Portable AC for main cabin. I have large winches for jib sheets to replace original bronze ones, but they are not installed. Rope lazy jacks give historic look to boat. Off-White cockpit cushions. Bronze wheel. When this boat was rigged with the wooden masts and rope lazy jacks, it was the belle of the lake, the most photographed. Located in Ithaca Lake Cayuga,
New York.

1986 Freedom 36 Comfortable, Capable Coastal Cruiser
This 1986 Freedom 36, built by Freedom Yachts / Tillotson-Pearson, is a solid, well‑designed 36-foot fiberglass cruiser thats ideal for coastal cruising, weekends aboard, and extended trips with family or friends. With her masthead sloop rig and efficient monohull design, she offers a great balance of performance, comfort, and ease of handling.
At 36 feet LOA with a generous 12.6-foot beam, the Freedom 36 has a spacious interior and a stable, comfortable ride under sail. The 4.5-foot draft makes her versatile for New England waters and beyond deep enough for good upwind performance, yet shallow enough for exploring harbors, coves, and anchorages that deeper-keel boats cant easily reach. Her displacement of 13,400 lbs gives a reassuring, bluewater-capable feel underway without being sluggish.
Below deck, you'll find 3 cabins with berths for up to 6, making this an excellent choice for families or cruising couples who want extra room for guests. The layout is designed to be practical and livable: good headroom, comfortable seating, and plenty of storage for gear, provisions, and personal items. This is the kind of boat you can spend real time on weekends, vacations, or longer cruises without feeling cramped.
Power is provided by an inboard diesel engine rated at 20 horsepower. Diesel reliability and efficiency are ideal for docking, maneuvering in tight marinas, and motoring when the wind is light. The inboard installation keeps noise and vibration down and contributes to a better weight balance versus outboard-powered boats.
The Freedom brand and this 36-foot model have a strong reputation for solid construction and practical cruising design. The combination of fiberglass construction, sensible rigging, and manageable size make this boat relatively easy to sail and maintain, even for an owner who does much of their own upkeep.
If you're looking for a well-built, comfortable 36-foot cruising sailboat with a proven design, spacious interior, and dependable diesel power, this Freedom 36 is well worth it. Located in Rye,
New Hampshire.

The Hunter 320 is a comfortable and affordable cruising sailboat offering comfort and easy sailing characteristics. Her self-bailing cockpit is designed for dockside entertaining for 6 adults and the helmsmans seat folds down for easy access to the swim platform. With 64 standing headroom, several ports, the cabin is easy to move about in and well-lighted. With accommodations for up to 4-6 for sleeping there is a large aft stateroom enclosed by a wooden door which spans athwartships large enough for two adults. The forward stateroom is a double with hanging locker. In the main salon theres a starboard L-shaped 86 dinette with a table with leafs that accommodates 4 adults. To port is a 65 long settee that seats two adults or converts to a single berth. The U-shaped galley has a lot of Corian countertops, cabinets, ice box & 3 utensil drawers and an overhead shelf outfitted with fiddles for cups and plates. The nav station has a 29x20 chart table with seating accommodated by the after edge of the port settee. The head is equipped with a fiberglass sink, H&C water, a handheld shower & medicine cabinet. The Selden mast has a double set of spreaders supported by the B&R rig which is known for its good upwind performance. This multiple diamond stay configuration, along with the SS mast strut eliminates the need for a backstay. The strut stabilizes the lower section of the mast and creates a strong point for boom and spinnaker loading. The end boom mainsheet connects to the SS arch which makes for convenient traveler control as well. She has a 7/8s fractional sail plan which puts more power in the mainsail and so trimming the headsail is not such a chore. This is a fresh water boat. The owner is moving to Florida and so is selling Providence. For anyone wanting to keep the boat in its current location, he is throwing in the slip for the remainder of 2026.

Snark Boats Sea Skimmer Model SB 195
This is a 2017 Model Snark Sea Skimmer which was purchased new from Myers Boat Company in June of 2020. Sea Skimmers are sloop rigged having a Main and a Jib. The boat has a centerline length of 12 feet and a beam of 3 feet 3 inches. Maximum capacity is 3 persons or 475 pounds. The hull is Snarks ABS Armorclad over foam unsinkable. These armor clad boats do get cracks in the ABS cladding from expansion and contraction but the cladding remains affixed to the foam it does not affect the performance of the boat. The aluminum mast is 12 feet long and I filled it partially with foam for floatation. The jib is raised and lowered by a halyard, while the main is sleeved to fit over the mast. These are fun boats that perform well in calm wind and fly in a stiff breeze. Very fun to sail. This boat has been sailed very little and has been kept in an attached garage. Check out the Sea Skimmer in action by visiting SailboatsToGo.com or on YouTube. Very well kept boat. $1650.00

Trinka 10 Sailing Dinghy
With its wine-glass transom, sweeping sheer and plumb bow, the Trinka 10, designed by Bruce Bingham, is a boat thats as easy to look at as it is to sail.
By Mark Pillsbury, Cruising World
May 15, 2017
Updated: May 15, 2017
With its wine-glass transom, sweeping sheer and plumb bow, the Trinka 10, designed by Bruce Bingham, is a boat thats as easy to look at as it is to sail. During our morning on Narragansett Bay, it proved itself to be fleet of foot, quite stable with two aboard and comfortably roomy for even large skippers.
The Trinkas fiberglass hull is hand-laid. Teak trim provides an inner and outer rail around the gunwales, reinforces the transom and is used for the center seat. Forward and aft seats are glass and form watertight compartments to give the dinghy positive flotation.
Trinkas are built in Vero Beach, Florida, by Johannsen Boat Works. Theres a smaller 8-foot version, and the company also builds a 12-footer designed by Bruce Kirby.
The Trinka 10 can be built with a centerboard and trunk for sailing, or without if its to be used just for rowing. The two-piece unstayed mast and boom are aluminum; setup is quite easy. For towing, the Trinka 10 comes with a beefy bow eye and self-bailer at the stern. Located in Portage,
Michigan.

Just Paid $400 to have my 3 blade prop tested and optimized, effectively netting me a full extra knot of motoring speed, now 7 knots anticipated
Replaced both Bow lights with LED @ Stern light. Port Scupper Hose, new Blower motor and Hose.Solar Vent and oil sender. No leaks
Diesel tank removed, cleaned/polished inside, new fuel hose
Hull sand blasted and stripped to Gelcoat, 3 new coats gelcoat (barrier coat added
New Teak holly Sole added last fall
All interior teak restained, reglazed. 3 Dodger panels refurbished last year with top of the line Stratoglass Vinyl, all new stitching
New Sunbrella Bimini 2023
2022 re-edits
I installed a 12" Ray-marine E120 multi screen (so now have 2 GPS's) with a 24 mile radar, AIS enabled, a DM300 top of the line Sonar (can peer down 2000 feet
I also replaced the Mast, had to spice, too long, with all new shrouds and all wiring and mast hardware (some used from other mast) with 2 LED flood lights, all brand new Shrouds and turnbuckles, new antenna and all new mast lights. Also installed a "Mast Spinnaker Rail track", included is a 12' Pole and 21 s/s mast steps to the top. rewired completely. First class!
This is a 1981 Coastal Cruiser, and strong enough for Ocean passages in my view
Sail away ready!! You need to do some very minor maintenance work (If I don't get to it first). This is not a lemon, its ready and family safe!!
I should also mention (I forgot) that all my cushions are made with "Marine Grade" foam, blue color vs the cheaper brown production boat foam. It is 4 times more expensive as its mildew proof. All foam cushions sealed with plastic covering to protect from spills and sunbrella water resistant covering, all S/S staples used where wood backing is used, high grade vinyl heavy duty zippers and high grade heavy duty Velcro. This adds thousands in value!
"New head" & plumbing added last year. Sewage tank in new condition

I am the original owner of MariSue, my beloved and beautiful 2021 Catalina 355. I purchased her directly from the factory via Ed Massey, my knowledgeable and helpful broker. We added all the creature comforts that we felt we wanted. For two seasons we sailed her in the Manatee River and Tampa Bay and then decided to bring her up to our home port in NJ, where she lies now. I have personally serviced her through the years and keep records. She is in perfect condition. Because I sail the narrow Toms River in NJ and my shoulders have been giving me trouble, I chose the self-tacking headsail which makes coming about with one person effortlessly. I recently reduced the price. Located in Toms River Pine Beach,

Some boats are just equipment. This one is a sailor's boat.
The Allied Seabreeze is a Maclear & Harris design with a devoted following for good reason. She's handsome, seakindly, and built for actual cruising. This one has been actively sailed and carefully maintained by sailors who used her the way she was meant to be used.
Hull 14 sleeps six comfortably. She carries four anchors, a full wardrobe of sails, and enough gear to leave tomorrow. The dodger and windlass motor were replaced in 2020, the headstay roller furling in 2018. The main and mizzen carry full-length battens. All sails in use have been inspected and repaired by a sailmaker.
One thing to know upfront: she has forward gear but no reverse. The transmission needs replacing. She's been handled comfortably on a mooring field without reverse, and a competent sailor will manage fine while sorting it on their own timeline. Asking price is reflective of this issue. We're telling you this first because that's how we do things.
Sold as-is to the right sailor. Someone who appreciates a classic, understands what maintenance means, and isn't frightened by a transmission project on an otherwise enviable boat.
Full gear list available. She's on the hard at a boatyard in Freeport and available for inspection by appointment. Located in Freeport,
Maine.

The boat spent years in Brooklin, but the drive there became too much for my kids. I decided to bite the bullet and paid for the boat to be trucked to Lake Champlain,VT.This is its 4th season there. Lives at the dock mid May/early October and on the hard on stands with the mast up in the winter. I've been shrink wrapping it, but recently ordered a custom canvas full cover, which should be ready by early August.
I do NOT need to sell the boat, but it is becoming increasingly difficult for me to justify all the effort and money to use it only a handful of times a year. For the asking price you can't go wrong, I promise!
Just like I don't have a lot of time to enjoy the boat, I don't have a lot of time to show the boat to 20 different prospective buyers. If you are interested I will make the trip and meet with you, but please, be considerate. Let's talk first. I can probably answer all your questions.
The boat is at North Hero Marina and I can arrange with the manager to let you see the boat.
The marina has a travel lift in case you want to haul it out or something. All the associated coordination and resulting costs are on you.
My price is mostly firm, but try me. The worst I can say is no. Located in North Hero - Lake Champlain,
Vermont.

Were getting older, so its time to sell our beautiful sloop. She is classic blue water cruiser that is admired by discerning boat lovers on the lake. Shes heavy at 7,800 pounds with a keel, that gives it a nice solid ride, often over 6 kts. The hull is thick solid fiberglass molded to look like wood. Shes only known freshwater lakes in the Pacific NW; Pend dOreille, Coeur dAlene, in Idaho and Flathead Lake Mt. The boat spends of the year in storage and only sailed three months in the summer. We consider it our lake house/camper and have spent multiple nights anchored around the lake sleeping under the stars with a portable cockpit bed. The cabin sleeps two and is tall enough for someone 6'2" to stand. The V-berth also sleeps two. The galley kitchen includes an Alcohol Stove, Ice Box, and sink using a 20-gallon freshwater bladder and foot pump. The salon sits four with a view out through nice sized windows. All the interior upholstery is in excellent condition. Located in Dayton MT,

1981 Cape Dory 22 Collector Quality Original Lake Boat Triad Trailer & 2024 Tohatsu Basalt/Colorado
Description:
For the discerning sailor or Cape Dory enthusiast: This is an incredibly rare, highly original, and uniquely well-kept Cape Dory 22 pocket cruiser. Designed by Carl Alberg, this vessel has spent its entire life strictly as a fresh-water lake boat (first on Lake Winnipesaukee, then on Lake Champlain, then on Ruedi Reservoir for one season). Its remarkable condition is the direct result of being INDOOR STORED every single winter since it was built in 1981, except for the last two year where it was meticulously covered and cared for.
The fiberglass gelcoat, teak trim, and hardware are totally original, smooth, and completely free of rot, soft spots, or pitting. Below decks, the cabin is impeccably clean, dry. I purchased this exceptional vessel two years ago from its meticulous long-term owner. This boat does not work well on my mountain lake with quick changing winds and small turning zones and I need to let it go to someone who lives in a different location. It is ready for its next dedicated caretaker.
Delivery Available Nationwide:
The custom Triad trailer is fully road-ready with fresh bearings and tires, designed to handle long-distance highway towing. If you are a serious out-of-state buyer, I am willing to personally hitch up the boat and drive it directly to your driveway or marina anywhere in the continental U.S.
Terms: The buyer must cover the cost of a one way truck rental, the truck's fuel for the trip and purchase a one-way airline ticket to fly me back home to Colorado once the boat is safely delivered. Located in Basalt,
Colorado.

The boat has been constantly upgraded in every way! The bottom was just painted, so the next owner will only have to launch and go!

Reliable and fun, this O'Day 26 has plenty of room for your family, but is great for solo sailing as well. The fiberglass swing keel makes getting into shallow water easy. It's also makes trailering and using a boat ramp easier. The custom-built steel trailer is a real benefit for storing at home and moving between locations. Trailer has a winch to move boat in tight spaces, e.g. backyard. The Johnson 6hp outboard runs well. Mainsail, jib, and spinnaker are in good shape with spare sails too. Save money yearly and solo step the mast with included gin pole, pulleys, and straps! Two-door head with sink and porta pot with pump out connection. Fresh bottom paint applied this April. Union Polaris 36 for sale in Sea of Cortes, San Carlos, Sonora Mexico.
My name is Vince Radice, I run a small non profit that rescues entangled Sea Lions up in the northern Sea of Cortes close to Puerto Peasco Rocky Point Mexico. We are raising funds for our next Sea Lion Rescue mission with the sale of this vessel.
Lan Yap is a 1977 Union and According to designer, Robert Perry, the HANS CHRISTIAN 36, MARINER POLARIS, UNION POLARIS 36, and EO 36 are all nearly the same, which, in turn, are lengthened versions of the HANS CHRISTIAN 34, the boat Perry was originally commissioned to design but, of which, few were built. Lan Yap has a 4 cylinder 49 HP Yanmar 4JH3E diesel engine that was recently rebuilt.
Engine hours approximately 3200 before recent rebuild. Engine rebuild was completed July of 2025 and includes following new parts.
One New Piston on cylinder 4
New intake and exhaust valves on cylinder 4
New Piston rings on all cylinders
New Headgasket
New valve springs
New pushrods
Rebuilt raw water cooling pump
Repacked stuffing box on prop shaft
Disassembled and serviced heat exchanger
Redesigned and improved stainless steel exhaust manifold
Rebuilt Starter
Rigging:
Lan Yap is cutter rigged and all standing rigging was upgraded to stay locks. The rigging appears to be in excellent shape and I would have no issues whatsoever sailing this boat to Baja tomorrow. The stay sail would have been club-footed, but no longer has a boom. All the hardware is in place to rig as club-footed or non club-footed. Stay sail is old but functional. I recently restitched the leech of the main sail. The Main goes up a tide's track and is extremely smooth and friction free to raise and lower. The main is rigged with two jiffy reef points with hardware on port and starboard side of the boom, thus the main can be reefed on port or starboard tack with maximum ease quickly and efficiently. The main sail now sheets from the traveler on a block and tackle to the end of the boom which makes trimming the main sail simple and effortless compared to the original main sheeting style of r Located in San Carlos Sonora Mexico Sea of Cortes,

Specifications & Performance
The Nonsuch 30 Ultra is a coastal cruiser designed by renowned naval architect Mark Ellis and built by Hinterhoeller Yachts, a builder celebrated for high-quality, balsa-cored fiberglass construction. She measures 30'4" length overall with a 28'9" waterline, an impressively wide 11'10" beam, and a 5-foot draft (3.96 feet with the shoal-draft option) proportions that give her the interior volume of boats several feet longer. Displacing 11,500 pounds with 4,500 pounds of lead ballast, she carries a favorable ballast-to-displacement ratio that keeps her stiff and stable, standing up well to her sail even in a breeze.
Her most distinctive feature is the freestanding, unstayed mast paired with a wishbone boom carrying roughly 540 square feet of mainsail no headsail, no standing rigging, no jib to winch across on a tack. This cat-rig simplicity means tacking is as easy as turning the wheel, reefing can be done from the cockpit in seconds, and short-handed or single-handed sailing becomes genuinely relaxed rather than a workout. With a hull speed of about 7.2 knots, the Nonsuch 30 Ultra comfortably cruises at 7 to 8 knots in 15 to 20 knots of breeze, and her best point of sail is a beam to broad reach, where she really comes alive. She won't point quite as tight to the wind as a sloop, but she makes up for it with speed and an easy motion that keeps guests comfortable rather than white-knuckled.
Below deck, the Ultra layout offers a private forward stateroom with a double berth, a well-designed galley, and a full head with shower all with 6'4" of headroom and enough space to comfortably seat six around the dining table. Auxiliary power comes from a dependable diesel inboard, giving confident maneuvering in tight marinas and reliable power when the wind drops. Whether you're looking for a stress-free afternoon sail or a capable coastal cruiser for extended trips, the Nonsuch 30 Ultra delivers big-boat comfort, surprising performance, and a rig so simple there's almost nothing to break. Located in Solomons,
Maryland.

Make a reasonable offer, we will consider it.
We have moved to the East Coast and purchased a boat there to refit, or we would not be selling this beautiful vessel. With today's prices, it did not make sense to transport her overland, or we would have. We also got a dog and needed a little bigger boat!
We purchased this vessel in the SF Bay Area in July of 2018. We immediately started a refit to bring her up to current standards and cruising condition. My husband is a marine electrician, and I have worked in boatyards, so the upgrades are top-notch.
You can see the layout and specs at https://sailboatdata.com/sailboat/s2-110-c/. This vessel is the shoal-draft version with a balsa-cored hull above the waterline. There is no damage to the core anywhere. I prefer a cored boat for its insulation and added stiffness.
There is a spacious walk-through head with an AirHead composting toilet, all correctly set up and working well, no holding tank, no smell. I am on the East Coast when posting this listing and will add more pictures when I get to the boat in a couple of weeks.
She will sleep 6, with 2 in each area: V-berth, salon settees, and aft cabin. The boat is most comfortable for 3 people: 2 in the aft cabin and 1 in the V-berth. Located in Ventura,
California.

Fisher 46 Pilothouse Motor-Sailer Ocean Proven Fully Equipped Bluewater Cruiser
Rare Fisher 46 pilothouse motor-sailer built by Northshore / Fairways Marine in the UK. These vessels are renowned for their strong construction, protected pilothouse steering and excellent offshore capability.
Only about 15 Fisher 46s were built, making this a very rare and highly respected offshore cruising vessel.
The hull was professionally treated for osmosis in 2022, including a full peel, new fiberglass layers and epoxy barrier coating. All through-hulls and seacocks were replaced at the same time.
This boat was sailed across the Atlantic from England to Canada by the current owner in 2022, confirming her seaworthiness and offshore capability.
In the fall of 2025, the vessel was fully prepared for another offshore passage to Bermuda. Due to lack of a suitable weather window late in the season, the trip was postponed and the boat was hauled out in East River, Nova Scotia.
The vessel remains fully operational and equipped for offshore cruising.
Like many vessels of this age, a few projects remain (mainly, some headliner in aft cabin and freshwater plumbing).

One of C&C's last designs, this boat gets compliments where ever she goes. Dry inside, no leaks, many upgrades. Turn key. She's fast and responsive with her eliptical keel and rudder (like a Spitfire wing). 8 sails. You will love the non-skid on deck and EVA flooring in the cockpit. No wood outside to maintain. Sails are on, and she's been sailing.
Inside she is air conditioned, has good headroom and she has many sleeping options with a vee berth, two pilot berths, settees, a large aft berth and two pipe berths. She's setup for shorthanded sailing and has been raced solo and with a few friends. The helm is balanced and she points very high. She has a Selden retractable sprit for assyms as well as a standard pole for flying regular spinnakers.
Sailing solo is made easier by the 54" wheel, autohelm with remote, control lines near the helm, and her MaxProp.
Check her out at White Rocks Marina, in Pasadena, Maryland, slip E8. Complete tours can be arranged by text. Asking price dropped to $35,000 or best offer. More pics at Facebook, "Resolute, a 1989 C&C 34R" Send text to 609-703-0790 to schedule an appointment. Located in Pasadena,

Schock Wavelength 24, 1984 sailboat for sale. Racing sailboat has several sails and/or spinnakers to accompany (all in varied or unchecked condition). Boat has rod rigging which is more costly than standard stainless cables. Cabin cushions are also included, as seen in later pictures.
This is a really fun snd easy boat to sail. It is fast. It points into the wind well and can be sailed with a spinnaker relatively easy as it is a fractional rigged sloop, so the spinnaker is not hard to handle. It is great for racing as well. Many were built and most were raced and are still being raced. Some one-design fleets are still active.
The boat has been stored for may years. Has a great name "Shockwave" and has a large race flag with the name on it. It is competitive with a PHRF of 168. Looks fast and is fast. Weight (2500 lbs), dimensions, draft (4.5 feet), sail area, and PHRF rating of (168). Compares to a J-24 but more comfortable, easier to use, and safer than the usual J-24.
New halyards were just installed. I can help set up the rig if needed.
Boat is currently on a trailer, as pictured. Transport of sailboat can be provided. Located in Annapolis,
Maryland.

She is due a bottom job this year (2026) and also ready for topside paint again, price reflects those projects still needing to be done. We will give the new owner 2 gallons of Sea Hawk Cukote ($250 per gallon), which we have already purchased. We will also throw in the "Propspeed" kit we purchased to treat the running gear ($200)
Sails are new, main has been used 5 times, headsail only 15... We had a custom swim platform and dodger added in 2019. Chartplotter is stowed below, so it's in perfect condition and includes C-Map for entire US and Caribbean (over $500).

1984 Wiggers J/N 39 Fractional One-Ton "Encore"
The Joubert/Nivelt 39 Wiggers Lager 40 One Ton is the limited production version of Diva, a boat which swept the IOR in 1983, winning the Fastnet Race, Admiral's Cup, SORC, and other major events.
For notes on the history of the design, see rbsailing.blogspot.com/2013/04a-joubertnivelt-one-tonner.html
Encore was originally delivered to San Diego and later made her way to Lake Michigan. She sailed out of Michigan City, Indiana for many years and was purchased in 2011 by a passionate racer in St Joseph, Michigan. Under his ownership, she was extensively refurbished in both hull and deck, all wet core was removed and replaced with the deck, bottom, and hull professionally fared and refinished.
Today she is an absolutely solid boat. You can sound any part of her structure without worry. The decks have Kiwi-Grip non-skid, beautifully refinished. The scariest part of buying an old boat is fixed on this one; she is solid. The bottom was faired and coated with epoxy barrier coat, as well as multi-season bottom paint. All deck hardware was removed and replaced with Butyl tape bedding.
The interior of the boat has not been refurbished, and interior surfaces could use varnish and/or paint.
The engine is a Universal Diesel model 5424, an in-line 3 cylinder, with fresh water cooling, serial number 311-603. Hours are unknown. We have done a great deal of work getting her ready for the water, including installing a host of new engine parts, including:
- New OEM Facet electric fuel lift pump (old one worked is now a spare)
- New impeller for the fresh water pump, old one as a spare
- New exhaust hose for run from engine to rear bulkhead
- New thermostat, old one as a spare
- Rebuilt alternator
- New and spare fan belts
- New oil pressure sender
- New temp sender
- New and spare oil filter
- New and spare fuel filter
- Three spare glow plugs
- Fresh antifreeze (engine is fresh water cooled) Located in St Joseph,
Michigan.

1980 Trismus 37 Long Beach, CA $9,900
The Trismus 37 is a unique offshore cruising design intended for sailors who want both ocean-crossing capability and shallow-water access. Its wide, shallow keel carries all of the lead plate ballast at the lowest point of the boat, while the large-capacity diesel and water tanks are completely enclosed within the keel. Combined with the traditional kick-up centerboard, this design provides excellent stability offshore while allowing exploration of shallow bays, anchorages, and coastal regions inaccessible to many deep-draft cruisers.
This boat is being offered at a project price and will appeal to knowledgeable sailors who appreciate the strengths of the Trismus design.
Known Needs:
--Volvo MD2B diesel is not currently running
--Bottom paint is due
--Standing rigging should be replaced
Because of these items, the boat is best suited for an experienced sailor, boatyard professional, or buyer looking for a serious cruising boat with restoration potential.

We lived on Akira for 2 years. The freezer, refrigerator, Ac and/or heat, hot water tank, walk-in stand alone shower all make her extremely convenient and comfortable. The fact that those systems worked reliably and consistently made a huge difference in daily living. The solar input could generally recharge batteries by mid-day. The engines were consistently reliable to start and operate. She has been great fun and we have loved every minute of our time aboard Akira, but it is time for us to move on to our next adventure. We hope she provides the new owners with the fun, freedom, and excitement she has given us.
Upgrades:
1. New Flex Fold props June 2024. They've proven a nice upgrade. Folding feature is really nice when sailing. Note to buyer: When engines are off while sailing put the gear in idle reverse position to allow blades to fold.
2. New Ray Marine chart plotter Jan 2025.
3. New Victron 1200 inverter, Victron solar controllers, AGM house batteries and smart shunt March 2025.
4. New mainsail, Jib and sail covers January 2025.
5. New Tohatsu 20HP outboard on dinghy. Note to buyer: I picked the 20ph Tohatsu because it was the lightest option on market (94lbs); same weight as Yamaha 9.9 hp. When you are out cruising, being able to explore 2 or 3 miles around an island and away from the boat is a big advantage and a lot of fun.
6. Complete rebuild on the Spectra Cape Horn Extreme watermaker. New seals, piston, membrane. Note to buyer: Cape Horn is a famously reliable, easy to use system. We consistently made 12-15 gal per hour on the 12 volt system. Allowed us to stay off grid for weeks. Water maker was pickled on May 25 2026. Located in St Augustine,
Florida.

There is an enclosed aft stateroom to port with 3 opening ports and hatches. The head is also aft on the starboard side with a flushing head, sink, and shower with floor sump. When not sailing the boat is powered by a Universal Medalist M2-12 diesel engine that starts easily and sips fuel.
Current Owners:
This boat has been based in the fresh water of the Hudson River for the last 10 years. We have owned her since 2020 and sailed her on many adventures. Shes been much loved and traveled to Long Island Sound multiple times with trips around Long Island and out to Block Island. Shes a great boat for couples for up to a several week cruise with many improvements to make life aboard easier. After 3000 NMi its time for us to go to a larger boat for longer cruises. We are sadly putting her up for sale and hope someone else can experience the joy of sailing and cruising on her. Shes currently in the Hyde Park area. Extensive printed and digital documentation available for all systems. No major issues are known to exist at this time. Engine does not use oil, hours unknown but about 500 since 2020. Docklines, fenders, and various other items included. Located in Hyde Park,

We think the owner's story says it best:
"We are the second owners of this vessel The original owner always had the boat in Fajardo, Puerto Rico which is where we bought the boat. It was a great opportunity for a father and son to buy a boat together and sail the BVI's, Puerto Rico, Turks & Caicos, Exhumas, Bahamas and more.....she did an amazing job and gave us nothing but awesome memories and some of the best sailing we have ever done. We sailed roughly 3500 miles in the past year and Hunting Happiness didn't skip a beat."
Owners are selling so they can move on to their next adventure.
This is a great boat with all the comforts you will need. Hunting Happiness will take you almost anywhere you want to go. It is well maintained and ready for off shore or ICW travel. She would also make a wonderful live aboard. Some of her highlights include:
Dinghy & Motor - New Bottom Paint - In Mast Roller Furling Mainsail - Northern Lights Generator - Bimini - Dodger
Washing Machine - Three State rooms allows for a lot of space and storage.
Give us a call to schedule a time to come see her. She is on the hard, easy to show, and located in St. Augustine, FL, a fun city to visit! Located in St Augustine,
