One of three currently on the market; this heavy displacement ketch rigged cruising sailboat was a limited production boat from the late 70's, only 10 built. The Herreshoff lineage means something and it is alive and well in this boat. It has proven itself a capable passage maker on two R/T, CA to Hawaii and a Latin America/S. Pac cruise. She's a wonderful live- aboard. It has just undergone an interior refinish and her systems are ready for another voyage. Go anywhere and be comfortable, safe and secure. This is a big 50 footer with full bilges and lots of keel. Loves 20-25 knots and feels secure in 40. Perkins 6-354; Motor at 5 to 6 knots with less than 2000 rpm, 1.5-2 gph. 1200 miles under power without extra fuel. Roomy head aft w/sit down shower. Smaller head w/ shower at foot of companionway ladder. Spacious engine room. Never had to gimble the stove in 15,000 miles! This is the comfy ride you need! Two 100 watt Siemans solar panels, 1500 watt inverter, towable/wind generator. Auto Pilot and Saye's Rig wind vane steering system. Six person life raft; EPIRP w/built in GPS. Two 3 blade props (one is spare). Tremendous storage; room for almost anything you care to bring along! Very simple and easily maintained systems.
